Saudi Open Hearts Open Doors showcases grand vision for tourism in the Kingdom

27 September 2019 – James Hogan is in Saudi Arabia at a special invitation-only event at which the government is showcasing the Kingdom’s largest tourism projects to guests and stakeholders.

Guests spent an evening celebrating traditional culture at UNESCO World Heritage Site, Al Diriyah, which was a key point on the ancient trade and pilgrimage routes. The geographic meeting point of Asia, Africa and Europe, Al Diriyah is considered the birthplace of the Saudi state.

Mr Hogan said: Saudi Arabia has enormous potential as a largely untapped tourism destination. As this special event so clearly demonstrates, the Kingdom has great and unique cultural, historic and natural assets which offer development and investment opportunities for businesses, and fresh experiences for new generations of global travellers who will benefit from the most recent visa reforms. This is a very exciting time for the aviation, travel and tourism sectors in the Kingdom. The programme also includes specially curated tours to Riyadh, Jeddah, AlUla and Neom.
